“Hi everyone, I feel compelled to tell a short story about my personal experience with David Kingsbury over the last 24 weeks.
Firstly, I am a big of The Wolverine. After watching the latest film I was, as many people globally were, sad that it had all ended. I googled to find how he had got in such great shape and stumbled across David Kingsbury.
At that time in April 2017, I was 98 kgs, 39 years old and to put it simply, I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror. Even though I was reluctant of the idea of an online trainer, I discussed with my wife and she said just go for it. So, I decided I would contact David. He responded very quickly and answered all my questions and so I then decided, I would commit and join Beyond.
At that time I suffered from severe tennis elbow so was unable to lift any weights; no problem David said, let’s work on reducing fat till the elbow is better. So, I was given a meal plan and an exercise regime. All I had to do was follow it, and follow it I did religiously, easy!
Fast forward 12 weeks, I had lost 14 kgs of fat and was down to 84kgs. I was feeling great, people were telling me I looked slim! Hadn’t looked like that since my teenage years. My elbow was better at this point, so I signed up again to Beyond (received a 50% discount for being a returning client) and was given another meal plan and gym/cardio regime.
Fast forward again 12 weeks and here I am now. 40 years old, 91 kgs, 188cms tall and in better shape than I have EVER been in my life!
Before joining Team Kingsbury, I used to get back pain, gone. I used to feel tired and lethargic, gone. I never used to eat breakfast and would snack all day, gone. Now I eat a power breakfast and full on tasty food all day. I’m never hungry, but I do resist bad food, all the time – this is important, just say no.
Along the way, I set myself small goals based on reaching a certain weight. When I achieved it, I rewarded myself with beers and burgers. If there was a special event on, I would go and eat what I want, but 99% during the week and weekends, I was VERY strict with my food and training. This was the key for me. I also stopped drinking alcohol for long periods of time, which has also been very good for my health and when you don’t drink a lot, you are more aware of the negative effects that drinking has on your body and mind, now I appreciate feeling more pure.
David Kingsbury is such an awesome trainer, he really has developed a system that works and is very affordable compared with paying for an actual trainer to stand by your side while you workout. I never wanted or needed someone standing by my side. If I had questions or insecurities, I simply sent a message to David and he fixed me up.
I can honestly say that because of David, my life has turned around massively. Just in the last 24 weeks (only 6 months!), I have become a better/happier/healthier husband and father. It is teamwork, we are connected - He tells me exactly what I need to do, I do the grafting. I don't have to worry about anything except to put in the time.
